Setting Up Employee Access Permissions

  • To make a user an employee of your company, grant them access to Work Packages (see “Collaborating on Work Packages”) or add them under “Company” > “Employees”;
  • To add an employee to specific Work Packages, assign them as “Project Manager,” “Buyer,” and “Site Supervisor” on the relevant tabs of each Work Package. To add an employee to all Work Packages in your company, click “Add to all work packages” in the employee’s settings under “Company” > “Employees” > “Access settings”;
  • If you are a company administrator and want to see all Work Packages created by your employees, open your account settings under “Company” > “Employees” and click “Add to all work packages as Project Manager.” Also enable “Assign as a Project Manager” under “For new projects / work packages”
  • To grant access to your company’s corporate information (Libraries, the “Analytics” section, settings, Employees, etc.), enable the corresponding permissions in the Employee card;
  • For quick access setup, use the preset roles under “Settings Preset” based on the employee’s position. The required permissions will be selected automatically, and you can then adjust them manually;
  • Any user can be an employee of multiple companies. To switch between the profiles and Projects of these companies, click the company name in the upper-left corner of the screen next to the Smetter logo.
