From Deal to Project in CRM

Add project details
While you are still working with the Client, the deal details, Notes, and Tasks are usually enough — you do not need to create a Project yet.
Add a Project when you need to move on to more detailed planning: take measurements, upload project files, prepare an Estimate, or bring other employees into the work.
To do this, click “Add project details” (1)

Creating a Project

Go to the Project
Click “Complete”
Add employees to the Project team
Before creating the Project, define the Project team and add employees if needed (1).
Once confirmed, Smetter creates the Project and a new Work Package. The employee who creates the Project from the deal is assigned as the Project Manager and contact person.
The deal name is used as the name of the new Project. After the Project is created, the deal and Project names can be changed independently.
The created Project will appear in the “Project details” section (3) of the deal card.

Information
A Project created from a deal becomes a regular Smetter Project and can be accessed both from CRM and from the Jobs workspace, depending on each employee’s permissions.
From the deal card, you can go directly to the Project information (1), Measurements (2), Files (3) and Daily Log (4).
From there, you can continue working with the Project as usual in Smetter. For detailed instructions on these features, see the relevant pages in the User Guide.
