- Go to “Libraries” > “Assemblies” > “Add library” in the left-hand menu (1);
- Click “Add assembly” (2), and a new Assembly will be created;
- n the window that opens (3) build the Assembly from Cost Rates and specify labor, material, and other consumption rates per Assembly;
- You can configure rounding for items (4). When the Assembly is added to an estimate, the quantity of each item will be recalculated and rounded according to the configured rules:
- “None” — no rounding is applied;
- “Up” — rounds up to the nearest whole number;
- “Down” — rounds down to the nearest whole number;
- “Do not change” — neither rounding nor recalculation is applied.
- Materials and labor can be combined in a single Assembly;
- The Assembly name and calculation quantity are specified at the top of the table. You can define resource consumption for any number of units: per 1 square meter, per 100 square meters, and so on (5);
- Reorder items in the Assembly by dragging them up or down (6);Changes to the name, unit cost, or rounding option of cost rates used in an Assembly will be reflected in the Assembly itself. If a labor cost rate used in several Assemblies changes, update it in the Cost Library and all affected Assemblies will be recalculated automatically;
- Changing an item’s rounding option when creating or editing an Assembly will also update it in the Cost Library;
- If you delete a cost rate that was used to create an Assembly, you will receive a notification;
- You can create multiple Assembly Libraries by clicking “Add Library” (7);
- To recalculate an Assembly in an estimate, remove it from the estimate and add it again with a different quantity.
You can create Estimates quickly by specifying only the quantity. Smetter will automatically calculate resource consumption based on the data you entered. Open the “Libraries” tab in Estimate Editor and select “My assemblies” to get started.
